Changing OEM Information

In order to change the OEM Logo information seen in Control Panel, as seen here:

Use your favourite graphics package, Windows Paint, Paint Shop Pro, etc, to create a new image which is no greater than 96 x 96 pixels.

Save this file as a 256-colour WIndows Bitmap called ‘oemlogo.bmp’ in C:\WINDOWS\system32

Then, using Notepad, create a new text file containing:

[General]
Manufacturer=Disney Corp
Model=Mickey Mouse PC

You can enter what you like after ‘Manufacturer=’ and ‘Model=’, though keep it short as it can end up looking messy. When you’ve finished save the file as ‘oeminfo.ini’ in C:\WINDOWS\system32
